HANDMADE SINCE THE BEGINNING

The Beaver Flag carries on a tradition that began in 1950—stitching premium flags for the land, for the sea, and for everywhere you want to make your mark.

Our Heritage of Quality

We continue to make flags the old-fashioned way, with most flags designed, hand cut and assembled by Beaver Flags craftsmen at our St. Petersburg, Florida headquarters.

Designed to your specifications

With your colors and graphics

Built from premium materials

Made to withstand the elements

Handmade by Beaver artisans

Crafted by experts in the USA

Our Team of Artisans

Only 5% of American sewists are good enough for Beaver Flags. Our flagmakers pass rigorous skills tests before ever earning a seat in our production facility. So you can rest assured that your flag will be made by an expert, using techniques that first put us on the map 75 years ago.

Beaver Flags History

1950's

Gordon Eager, an avid yachtsman, starts Beaver Flags to bring handcrafted quality back to the practice of flagmaking. Inspired by his own nickname, “Eager Beaver,” he creates the company’s first Beaver icon and begins sewing flags for local Florida yacht owners. Within four years, Gordon had also started producing the official checkered flags for the Indianapolis 500.

1960s-1970s

Now a favorite of yacht clubs and families with a tradition of sailing, Beaver Flags serves famous customers including Ernest Hemingway and Walter Cronkite. In celebration of the bicentennial in 1976, Beaver begins selling more American flags and early state flags to national customers.

1980s-2000s

Beaver Flags continues to increase its product offerings, adding hundreds of state flags, world flags and specialized boating flags to its catalog.

Today

Now, 75 years after our founding, we remain committed to making flags in the USA. With customers including yacht clubs, sailors, local governments, and more, we approach each project with the same passion and attention to detail that we brought to our industry decades ago.
